Lily Brooks*
as Betty Parris
Lily Brooks (Betty Parris) is so excited to be participating in The Crucible, especially with her sister, Abigail. She has been a part of theatre productions with the troupe since her freshman year and can’t wait for the next two show seasons before graduating. She is dedicating this performance to her soon to be Hokie sister Abigail.

Lotus Lutterbie*
as Reverend Samuel Parris
Lotus Lutterbie (Reverend Parris) is a proud member and alternate officer of Troupe 5953. She’s had a love for acting since the sixth grade and is elated to be a part of another Theatre on the James production! In the past, she’s performed in Bonnie & Clyde (Young Clyde), Chicago (Ensemble), and The Insanity of Mary Girard (Furie). Lotus would like to dedicate this performance to her dearest friends her life wouldn’t be the same without.

Deandre Taylor
as Tituba
Deandre Taylor would like to dedicate her mom for cheering her on to try out for this play. Deandre wanted to try something new and experience something she hadn’t done before, and she turned out really liking it.

August Peterson*
as Abigail Williams
August Peterson (Abigail Williams) is so grateful to have been given the chance to play this incredibly conflicting role. You may have seen them in past productions playing characters such as Roxie Hart in Chicago, Jo March in Little Women, one of the Khoros in the department’s adaptation of Medea, and Ensemble in Bonnie & Clyde. August has been committed to their theater community since the beginning of their high school experience, and was inducted as a Thespian their freshman year. They are beyond proud of everyone they have had the privilege of working with. They cannot wait to be a part of more performances with TOTJ and they hope to serve their community with their role next year as a Virginia Thespian Officer.
