This has been a dream production. I am so happy to see the success and support of this truly “community” theatre show. Thank you to JPAC and Theatre Unlimited for bringing this wonderfully jolly show to life. It represents what community theatre should always be, with a lovely cast filled with all ages and levels of stage experience, working together to teach and learn from each other. Plus, a hard-working, creative, and dedicated production team and tech crew, which were critical to pulling off this huge show.
I am honored to be the director for this beautiful production, “Elf: The Musical.” Special thanks to Alexis, our fearless stage manager, who led the production team with a dedication that is inspirational! Also, to the entire production team, who worked long hours to create what you will see on stage tonight. Of course, thank you to this rock star cast, who were off book in record time, and despite the huge time commitment, showed up with a smile to each rehearsal (most days!). Extra thanks to the parents of the kiddos in this show, as it’s a whole family commitment to get them to rehearsals and shows! My biggest thanks are saved for my family…my husband Scott, son Kieran and daughter Cora. I have missed a lot of hours with you these last few months, lots of missed dinners together and just TIME. I appreciate your support to help me be able to enjoy my creative outlet of theatre. Love you!
And especially to you, our audience, THANK YOU for coming and supporting local community theatre here in Janesville and Rock County. You are NOT cotton-headed ninny muggins!! We hope you leave filled with Christmas spirit to help Santa fly safely across our homes in a few weeks!
