Bringing “Shrek the Musical” to the stage has been a huge undertaking! Our largest cast in years, building a set, and upping our dancing game have meant that, more than ever, the JM musical is a truly collaborative experience.
This show has special meaning for everyone navigating the process of high school, and all the big decisions that go along with becoming an adult. We take inspiration from Shrek, Fiona and all the other characters who learn the most important lesson of the show:
All the things that make us special
Are the things that make us strong!
To all the families who have loaned us your children for the last two months, next week we’ll return them to you a little more mature and a little more confident. Thanks for supporting them in this unique learning experience.
A special shout-out to Cindy Bredenberg and Heath Smith, whose expertise in wardrobe and makeup have made our cast look fantastic! And Chip Pate has done an amazing job with all our show publicity and social media, as usual. Don’t forget to follow, like and share @JMHSArts, especially on Facebook where all of our show pictures will be posted.
Finally, thanks to all the JMArts members whose contributions make this production and all our arts education activities possible!
