 From The Director:

Welcome to Puffs!

Thank you for taking the time to support our little theatre company to see this wonderful little show. You won’t regret it. My name is Keely Schrantz and I am the company manager, director of Puffs, visual artist, and lighting designer, among other small jobs such as babysitting the freshmen and cleaning backstage. I am so immensely proud of my cast and crew for doing such a tremendous job on this show.

I first learned of this show the end of my sophomore year, and I knew it would fit our cast perfectly. This company is full of hilarious, outgoing, and caring people that I knew would love this show just as much as I do. Directing has been such a wonderful learning experience for me to grow as an individual and to work within such an incredible team. I love this shows’ comedic and goofy tone with its improvisational bits and horrible dancing, but also its shift in tone as it deals with more serious conflict.

Directing has always been something I’m interested in. The prospect of seeing an idea in your head come to life upon the stage is incredible, especially with such a wonderfully talented group of people. I’ve always had stories floating around my head, but bringing my concepts to life for others to enjoy is unimaginable. This has been such an amazing opportunity that I couldn’t be more grateful for, I can hardly put it into words.

The cast has taken this idea and executed it in ways I could have never imagined. This show has a particularly unique obstacle, its copyright laws, which bar us from referring to Harry’s full name, branded butter drinks, and a specific red and gold house. These restrictions have been an odd obstacle but have made us come up with much more creative solutions.

Akin to that of a proud mother, I am so proud of this company and everyone involved, but particularly I would like to thank Addyson Mackay for her help with my bio, and Ms. Bowren for guiding me and the rest of the company to become the better actors, crew, and most importantly, better people.

I hope you enjoy the show! Third or nothing!
