Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - December 12

KO Knudson

 End Notes

NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR, DR. AUDRA DUVALL

How DO you put on a play in a pandemic? We were all set to cast the play, Harvey... rights and licensing had been secured... and then, "Boom!" We had just struck the set for The Wizard of Oz... and one day later it hit.

March 13, 2020. In a pinch, a Radio Show is a great idea, right? And a classic is an easy sell! But really, what do we know now that we didn't know before? Much like Scrooge learning life lessons that aren't too far of a stretch from what he already understood, we KNOW that kids can film themselves, costume themselves, teach themselves to have accents, hair, makeup, and all sorts of resourceful ideas to help put a show on that even Mickey Rooney would be proud of... and in record time! We CAN do this!

...and it all came from the insatiable and craving nature of the human spirit... we will overcome, endure, and thrive! Together.

This play is dedicated to the ENTIRE staff of the KO Knudson MS educational community... of which would not exist without you. Our children are stronger and resilient because we work together as a community to make it so.

Thank you.
