as Uncle Henry
Shamar Jiggetts, senior, plans to study biology and has been involved in theatrical productions for 5 years. He has performed in several one-act plays, including “The Struggles,” “At the Bottom of Lake Missoula,” and “Our Place.” This is his first musical production in high school. His favorite part has been seeing his character evolve. He thanks his mother, Shanika Jiggetts, for her unwavering support.

Kayla Hill
as Addaperle
Kayla Hill is a 12th grader attending Virginia Commonwealth University, where she studies Mass Communications. This year marks her first significant performance, although she previously played Mrs. Claus in an elementary Christmas play. She enjoyed meeting new people and stepping out of her comfort zone. Kayla thanks her mom for her unwavering support and expresses gratitude to Mrs. Millette, Mr. Copeland, Ms. Patton, Jasper, and Dylan for an incredible production.

as The Wiz
Nevaeh Greene, a 12th grader, will attend Norfolk State University to study Mass Communications. This is her first experience in a theatrical production. Her favorite aspect of the process was witnessing everyone’s growth and fostering a safe creative space. Nevaeh expresses gratitude to her parents for their unwavering belief in her and to her forever Wiz partner, Caleb, who inspired her to embrace her true self without regrets.
