When I decided to apply to be the director for this year’s play, I wound up drastically thinking through all of my favorite productions five minutes before the application was due. Choosing this play was harder than I’d ever thought it would be, when I remembered, “It’s Only A Play”. 

Having seen the show on Broadway several years ago, I immediately remembered what made it special, so few plays have captured the essence of theatre so perfectly: the egos, the drama and the passion that drive theatre productions are all so present and vibrant in this show, combined with a biting humor that never fails to make me laugh.

I can say that it has truly been a privilege to work on the show with such an amazingly talented crew led by David & Tina who have been so supportive, along with Danika & Emma who have been amazing at running the show from start to finish. I can't thank the amazingly talented cast enough, they are some of the most talented performers I have had the privilege to work with!

I also need to thank Wyatt Mercley for somehow convincing me that me being a director would be a good thing and my family for coming to see the show.
