NOTES FROM THE DIRECTORS

Mrs. Brady

Welcome to the Jaguar Players first production of our season! We are thrilled to be back for our 6th season with a full year of events and performances!

Tonight we present I Hate Shakespeare! While some theater-goers love the Bard, others think his work is outdated and overrated. Tonight were offer new renditions of his most famous plays with zombies, talking cows, and an appearance by Jerry Springer. Hopefully you will hate Shakespeare a little less by the end of the show.

I am so proud of the hard work and dedication from our cast and crew of over 55 students. We had an unprecedented amount of auditioners and application this Fall so we are lucky to have the best of the best working on this production. Theater is truly a collaborate art form and this production would not have happened without each and very Jaguar Player.

I have to thank my extremely dedicated and talented Technical Directors, David Holdcraft, Sharon Smith, and Alyssa D’Andrea for putting their blood, sweat, and tears into the Jaguar Players. Also, a huge thank you to Billy Nichols for coming in Assistant Director and Fight Choreographer. I am so fortunate to work with them and they all helped turn this program into the success it has become.

I also have to thank our wonderful Jaguar Players Booster Club for their help and support. The Boosters have allowed us to organize and grow our program by providing capital investments such as new lights and storage space. Special thanks to your every-growing Board for their creativity, hard work, and endless dedication.

Also, I would like to thank my friends and family for their love and support. A special thank you to my wonderful husband, Ryan, daughter, Charlotte, and Charlotte’s future baby sister (due in 3 weeks) for being patient and understanding during my long work days and tech week schedule (and missing bed time!).

Last, but not least, I want to thank you for coming to see our show. We can’t perform without an audience so thank you for being here and supporting Arts Education. And if you want to support the Arts even more, please buy refreshments, souvenirs, or make a direct donation at the box office. All proceeds to directly to the Booster Club.

Enjoy the show and we hope to see you back for our Spring Musical!
