Note From The Director -
"Welcome to Urinetown, not the place of course - The Musical". Several years ago, I saw Urinetown for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it and said that one day I want to direct this one. Most people look at the title of the show and automatically decide it's something they don't want to see. But, then they would be missing out on a truly unique show. It won three Tony Awards, for the book, score and direction, and it's the silliness of the story and music that hooked me. The show is a satire of almost every musical that you can think of.
It pokes fun at the legal system, capitalism, corrupt corporations, waste in terms of the environment and our sense of entitlement. This cast made my job as director so easy, the talent in this cast is amazing! I hope you enjoy watching this show as much as we did putting it together.
