Lakeview Fort-Oglethorpe High School

Notes from the Drama Student Leaders

Jesse Daugherty-Head Director

Drama to me has been an experience that I would encourage every upcoming freshman to take advantage of. Over my four years of high school, I've advanced in the class, have made my voice known, and have made many lifelong friends along the way, such as my wonderful drama teacher, Mrs. McHenry and my fellow directors and stage managers. For each and every person that joins the program, there's no denying it, the class is truly something to treasure for years to come.

Cooper Born-Head Stage Manager

Being in Drama for the past four years of my life has been one of the greatest experiences ever. I have made a lot of really good friends and I don’t think I could have done it without them. I have made my presence known in multiple different ways and I wouldn’t trade it away for anything. I want to thank Logan, Tyler, Jesse, Gavin, and Rayne. These people have made my school year a blast because I feel as if I can talk to them about anything and they will support me no matter what.

Savannah Hale-Director

Being in the Drama program has meant more to me than I could ever explain in one paragraph. This cast has made me so proud to do what I do. Theatre is a true passion of mine and seeing their love for it grow everyday is magical. Thank you to my cast, I could not imagine this show without you. Thank you to my co-director Jesse, and our assistant directors Lilli and Rayne, and thank you to Mrs. McHenry for keeping me sane. Enjoy the show!

Brittany Hester-Stage Manager

Drama has changed my high school experience as a whole, and it still is to this day. I joined my first year of high school and I had no idea it would impact me so much. It’s shaped me to be the person I am today, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I never thought I would get this far, or I would ever become a stage manager. Not only stage manager, but costume head. Without any hesitation, I can say that drama has been the greatest thing that I’ve ever done, and I’m so glad I’ve met the wonderful people I have. Especially Mrs. McHenry. She’s like my other mom, and has always been there for me from the start and I can’t thank her enough. I cannot wait to see what next year, my senior year, will bring, but I’m so ready for anything and everything!
