 Le Easter (Director)

 

Le Easter is a twenty-three-year veteran Theatre teacher with Austin ISD. This is her eighth year at Lamar Middle School, where she is learning to love musicals. In fact, she often breaks into song and dance when facing a challenging moment. She’s directed over a hundred shows and claims her favorite is always the one she’s working on when it closes. She’d like to thank the cast and crew of Matilda for their hard work and Ms.Luna and Starkey for making it all fun.

 


 

Megan Starkey (Music Director)

 

Megan Starkey is in her 13th year teaching Choir at Lamar Middle School. She also co-teaches Musical Theatre with Ms. Easter as well as one class of Piano. Ms. Starkey has a Bachelor of Music with a Choral Music emphasis from the University of Texas at Austin. While at Lamar, she has been the musical director for all 8 previous musicals including Guys & Dolls, Grease, Fame, Cinderella, Seussical, Willy Wonka, Aladdin, and Once Upon a Mattress. For the past 3 years, she has also been the musical director for AISD's Summer Theatre Series where she has worked on In The HeightsShrek: A Medley, and Mamma Mia! Outside of teaching, Ms. Starkey sings in the Conspirare Symphonic Choir.

 


 

 Natalia Luna (Choreography)

 

Natalia Luna is the current Director of Dance at the Lamar Middle School and Fine Arts Academy and the Director of the Lamar Dance Company.  Luna has a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre Direction from San Francisco University and has been teaching dance and theatre for over 20 years throughout the Austin area and in San Francisco, California.  Luna has been teaching with the Austin Independent School District at Lamar Middle School and Fine Arts Academy for 6 years where she has choreographed several musicals including Seussical, Willy Wonka Jr, Aladdin Jr., and Once Upon a Mattress.
