On behalf of the entire production team, we would like to thank you all for coming to the show. Willy Wonka has been on our minds for a few years. Considering the wide array of talent across the district, we felt that 2020 was the year to bring Roald Dahl's vision to life in Lapeer. It has been a humbling experience to watch LCS Performing Arts grow over the past six years, and Willy Wonka is another landmark in our production history. We chose this show, in part, because we could cast it using LCS students in grades 6-12. The nature of the show allows various age ranges to fit naturally into various roles. We were excited to extend our program outwards to all secondary students in the district, and we could not be happier with our results.
We hope you enjoy the show itself. Willy Wonka, Golden Tickets, and Oompa Loompas have made their way into literature, film, and musical theater. Roald Dahl is able to weave entertainment with valuable life lessons, leaving the audience happier, wiser, and perhaps with a song or two in their heads.
On behalf of the entire production team, we would like to thank parents for trusting us with your children. The show simply would not be possible without your constant support. We would also like to thank patrons in the audience, especially those that come back year after year. You are a major reason that we have been able to build a program as we have, and we hope to be able to earn your continued support. Finally, thanks to the larger Lapeer community: school employees, business owners, and other stakeholders who look forward to our show each year. If you're looking for more information on who we are and what we do, please follow Lapeer Community Schools Performing Arts on Facebook and Instagram.
With that, we hope you're able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
