She Loves Me - March 15 - March 24, 2024

Las Positas College

 Notes from the Director

Thank you so much for attending this production of She Loves Me.  Choosing to come to our show is sincerely appreciated by everyone who made this production possible.  Here you are, the final piece of the theatre puzzle! Welcome to Maraczek's!

She Loves Me has long been one of my favorite shows.  The warm, captivating story has been seen in many iterations-Parfumerie, The Shop Around the Corner, You've Got Mail. The score, written by the team who brought you Fiddler on the Roof, doesn't have a clunker in the bunch.  The songs illuminate character, relationships and move the plot forward at a galloping pace. They are breathtakingly beautiful, humorous and tuneful. She Loves Me is truly one of the great scores of the 20th century.

My job feels like a gift.  I get to spend my evenings with student actors whom I truly adore.  They are all so dedicated, funny and hilarious.  And boy, are they talented.  I am also surrounded by such wonderful colleagues who go above and beyond to bring you beautiful design, music, choreography and make your time at the theatre easy and fun. I have a big gig, but it's a pretty cool one.

Please find me in the lobby.  Let's talk She Loves Me and Las Positas College Theatre! If you enjoyed the performance, please shout us out on social media, tell your friends and family, and come back to see us for another show. As they say at Maraczek's, "Thank you Madam, please call again..."
