Thank you for joining us on this journey. We are thrilled to bring this Off-Broadway production to life. As a story-teller, it has always been my goal to present truthful narratives that shed light on the African American experience and in this particular piece, raise awareness about the displacement of 60,000 Native Americans. I asked myself questions like, where did the slaves go after the Civil War? Did they have a chance to reunite with family members who were sold?

Through my research, I gained insight about these important topics. It is crucial for me to continue sharing honest stories that uplift and inspire. Unfortunately, many people struggle to comprehend the full scope of these issues because they are not included in history books and only selectively taught. Instead, society often focuses on things that are self-destructive, rather than embracing new perspectives and striving towards improvement within our communities.
