Disney's The Aristocats KIDS - May 18 - May 19, 2018

Liahona Elementary

 A Note From the Director

While looking through the list of kids shows to produce, I was really hoping that I would be able to find something that the kids would enjoy working on as well as something that could teach a valuable lesson to the children as well as to the audience. To be honest, I quickly lost hope. Putting my second goal on the back burner, I chose a show that I knew would excite the kids to be a part of. However, as the kids and I continued to work on this show, the kids taught me a lesson, that I believe can never be taught enough. This lesson is that of love and acceptance. At the beginning of this show the Alley Cats and the Aristocats are clearly separated. But as the Aristocats are forced out of their comfort zones, these cats from completely different ends of the spectrum, take the time to learn about each other and come to the conclusion that they are “all the same under the fur”.

I have absolutely loved getting to teach and learn from your kids this year.

Thank you for your support of them and of the Liahona Theatre Department.
