"To die would be an awfully big adventure!"
J M Barrie's classic tale, Peter Pan is one that is known through various forms across the world. In the play, Hook accurately prophesies that in the future, children will play at being Peter Pan. Tonight you will see many children playing at being Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, Smee and many other characters. They are here to share a story with you; their family, friends, and community. They have put countless hours and efforts to teach you a lesson.
You will see a married couple whose lack of trust causes them to lose their children. You will see children who in their innocence does not realize the effects of their actions on others. You will see a captain, whose wrong choices keep them running from fate. And finally you will see a boy always in search for a bigger adventure wherever he can find it.
There are so many lessons to learn in tonight's production. It's up to you to decide which adventure is the one that YOU personally want to take. Because after all just, "To live would be an awfully big adventure!"
