Welcome to the LCA Theatre production of BIG FISH. My first introduction to this show was when I was searching for something to watch on a Sunday afternoon and accidentally clicked on the 2003 Columbia Pictures release starring Ewan McGregor. I was so enthralled with the story that I have watched around ten different theatrical productions and read the book by Daniel Wallace that the film and play are based on.
BIG FISH tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to the fullest … and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger than life stories thrill everyone around him. Most of all, his devoted wife, Sandra. But their son Will, who is about to have a child of his own, is determined to find out the truth behind his father’s epic tales.
Overflowing with heart and humor, BIG FISH is an extraordinary musical that reminds us that life is precious, sweet, and beautiful! God has given us an incredible gift. Take advantage of it and live life to the fullest. Each day choose life, choose to be happy, and make somebody smile! If you can do these three things every day, then that's a pretty good day! And that makes you a pretty big fish in a very big pond!
