Why theatre?  Answers are from our cast, crew and volunteers.

Theatre is one of the highest forms of imagination. A team of people work together to create wondrous worlds and fantastical characters that you can see, hear, touch, and interact with in a real, physical way. Great theatre transports not just the performers but the audience into a realm where, with a lot of practice and a little stage craft, seemingly impossible things happen, not on a screen, but before your very eyes! One of the best things about theatre is that it gives us license to wonder, to explore, and to discover settings and characters that may reflect parts of ourselves in ways we hadn't experienced before.

Theatre is place for expressing yourself and having the ability to be a fiction character you maybe have always wanted to be. Theatre is a place to learn and fulfill dreams of being on stage under the lights and having the hopes of broadway. Theatre is hard work but rewarding in a way not only for you but others around you and for the audience to experience something great.

Theatre is a place to kind of escape reality and be in a place where everything works out for the better. it also gives you the opportunity to meet new people and make memories that last.

For us it’s a place where my daughter can feel comfortable being herself, and get to experiment with who she is by being a completely different person as well.

Theatre is a place to make new friends, have fun, and to become someone else. Theater also helps to find who you are and you get to have incredible experiences, and memories.

For us, theatre enables the ability to grow ones emotional intelligence (empathy) and creativity. For those with higher than average emotional intelligence and creativity skills, it also gives an opportunity to challenge them, as well as providing an outlet. In a world that can leave some feeling like an outsider, outcast, or insignificant, theatre shows them even the smallest roles are important. It helps reveal that even if your part of a production is not visually seen or recognized, it's still vital in its outcome. "All of us want to be part of something bigger than ourselves, something that matters." -Daniel H. Pink

Theater is a wonderful thing. It gives opportunities for people to step out of their comfort zone for a while and just be their character. It truly is a lovely experience. And so many incredible friendships are formed throughout the process that could last a lifetime.

Theater is my kind of thing! Now I can finally find something to do and enjoy it forever.

Theatre is pretty cool.

Theatre is an escape from the world. You can be and become whoever you want to be. It’s a place where people from all different lives come together with one common interest and goal.

Theatre unites. Especially high school theatre. It brings together kids (and adults!) from different grades, social circles, and activities, and allows them to unite to create timely and irreplaceable art.
