Note from the President of Lighthouse Repertory Theatre...

One of my favorite productions to date is "My Fair Lady." This performance owes its existence to the incredible support from our community, including generous underwriting, sponsorships, and donations from local businesses and individuals. I am thrilled to introduce some new faces at LRT who have dedicated themselves to directing and producing this show: our Show’s Director, Philip Dyke; Music Director, David Sedgwick; and Stage Manager, Elizabeth Coburn. Philip Dyke has joined us at LRT, and this marks his debut as a director. I believe we can expect more productions from him in the future. David Sedgwick has been part of our team for several years as the Music Director for productions such as "This Is Crescent City" and "Nunsense." We can’t wait to see the music portion of LRT take off. Elizabeth Coburn, though familiar with LRT, is new to our board and eager to help us navigate the challenges this small volunteer company faces. Over the past decade, Elizabeth has written, directed, and produced various plays and musicals that have graced our stage.I commend all of them for their dedication and the countless hours they have invested in bringing "My Fair Lady" to life.  For 47 years, Lighthouse  Repertory Theatre has proudly served our community, and I hope we can continue this tradition for many more years. Like many organizations, we have adapted to better serve the diverse interests of our audience. Under Kirt Kurtis's leadership, we have started performing comedy sketches that have been very well received. If you haven't attended one yet, be sure not to miss our next show, which is coming soon! Another successful initiative has been our Jazz Super Club, led by David Sedgwick. He has assembled a fantastic group of jazz musicians who have performed classic and contemporary pieces from the world of swing, jazz, and standards. You won't want to miss this experience—dancing is encouraged!, and of course you will enjoy the fully catered dinner, complete with drinks and dessert. It’s a wonderful way to spend a Friday or Saturday evening! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for all upcoming show dates, be sure to "Like us" so you stay informed.  A special recognition goes to the De Norte School District: Jeff Harris, Page Swan, Ryan Bahtan, Michael Hawkins, Joshua Cubbin, April Martin, Castle Rock Charter School, Nick & Lisa Rail, PPA.  We are revitalizing LRT membership, and we need your assistance by providing your email address so we can keep you updated on upcoming events, shows, auditions, and more. Our annual membership fee is just $25, and when you join, you’ll receive a T-shirt and invitation to our annual picnic, which features plenty of food, music, beverages, and good company.  Once again, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has enjoyed our performances and contributed your time, talent, and financial support!
