Inside moments of true love you can live forever

What is it to really know your own father? Meet Edward Bloom.  An ordinary man, and an extraordinary father. He has always told his son tall tales filled with beauty, love and imagination, but when his son confronts him about what is truth and what is fiction, they go on a life-affirming journey that will change them forever.

What a story to direct!  It is a selfish motivation that has driven me to direct  this show. It happens to be one of my favorite stories and I knew that now was the time to tell it.

Why? I have a very specifc, and extremly talented group of students, most of them are leaving this year and if I didn't direct this show now my opportunity would be gone. So I took a big risk and decided the black box would host a musical! The most amazing part of this adventure has been watching the students pull together and teach each other, respect and learn from each other, and grow as a family. Everything I had hoped this show would bring to my little theater family it has done and so much more.

In addition, it has been a blessing working with my talented husband on this challenging show. His expertise with technical lighting, and sound, and his gentle way of musical directing has made the experience amazing. So once again, I am thankful to parents who allow their children to spend so much time with me. I am thankful for the parents that have put so much time and effort into helping with the production. Of course, I am thankful for this opportunity to work in a place that allows me to take risks, and use my creativity in teaching and directing. Lastly, thankful to God for the path that is in front of me!
