Sophie Yung

as Dorothy

Sophie, a senior at LAHS, is thrilled to be playing Dorothy in her third year with Broken Box! You may have seen her in previous shows as an old lady with an aggressively British accent, a robot with murderous intentions, or a dinosaur with a cowboy hat. Outside of theater, Sophie competes in hip hop dance, plays video games, and perpetually crashes out over double integrals (whatever those are, anyway). Her favorite thing about the Wizard of Oz is that she can get more sleep onstage than she does in real life. She hopes you enjoy the show!!

as Scarecrow

Kira is a senior and this is her third year in Broken Box! She is so excited to play the Scarecrow. Outside of theater, she loves to dance, sing, and beat her friends at word-puzzle games.

Hi my name is Jason Byrne I am a Senior actor in Broken Box. I’m playing the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, I think it’s so fun to embody different characters and that is why I love this class so much. R.I.P. Sam Latu you are loved and will be missed.

Aditya is a senior who has been in Broken Box for 3 years (including tech)! He had to muster up a lot of courage to write this bio. He likes acting (although being on a stage is pretty scary) and the community of Broken Box. If you decide to approach him, please look as helpless and frail as possible...
