Shrek The Musical - March 14 - March 16, 2019

Loveland High School

 A Note From the Director

We are so excited for this production of Shrek the Musical! The students have put in an incredible amount of work to this show, and we couldn't be prouder. The quality of the cast, pit orchestra, stage crew and building crew are outstanding. I'm very proud of the cooperation, mutual respect, the level of commitment, and the teamwork that has been demonstrated during the process.

I would like to thank some individuals for their support and hard work!

To Mr. Daniel Smith and Mr. Kyle Freesen, thank you for helping create such an incredible experience for our musicians in the pit orchestra. Not every high school is as fortunate as us to have students at such a high level playing in the pit. What an great experience you are both giving your students....not to mention, they sound fantastic!

To Mrs. Karen Bieser, thank you for being such a big support with the show, and still working with students on their characterization and portraying their roles. You are the master at creating a memorable fart/burp filled number! Thank you for being a personal support to me as well. I feel so blessed to have a colleague and a friend like you.

To Mrs. Carmen Polka and Ms. Caitlin Parets, thank you for the countless hours you have put in to make our students pro dancers! Having never done a show with tap dancing, you were such incredible teachers. The show would not be the same without these dance numbers! Caitlin, it is so wonderful to see you shine through this choreography. I have enjoyed seeing your growth from when you were my student to now. You are amazing!

To my wonderful parents...Mr. Edward Steketee and Mrs. Suzanne Steketee, thank you for everything. First of all, this show wouldn't have worked without the intricate designs and ideas for so many technical elements. More importantly, thank you for the constant support and keeping me in check. You guys and the best and I love you!

To my husband...thank you for always believing in me, and for pushing me! These days are long and difficult at times, but I couldn't do them without you there for me, whether I actually get to see you or not! I practically live at the school during the musical. You are the best.

Shoutouts to my seniors....It is bittersweet for me watching this production. I'm so proud of you all and have worked with many of you for four years - it's hard to see you all leave.
