Director's Note from Lennie Machado
Welcome to the Lowell High School Student Theater Company production of Shrek the Musical. The students have under gone an intense rehearsal period over the past ten weeks. They have taken on a monumental task in a short amount of time to present a production we are all proud of.
As a student theater company, all aspects of today’s performance will be executed by the students. Lights, costume changes, sets and scenery are all the products of hard work and determination by our students at Lowell High School.
Of course none of this would be possible with out the love and support of several people. We would like to thank Marianne Busteed our Head of School , The Lowell School Committee, our custodial staff, and the teachers in the Fine Arts Department for their support of this endeavor. A very special shout out goes to the Theater Parents organization for all of their help and guidance.
Finally we would like to take a moment to recognize a very special woman who has given her blood sweat and tears (literally) not only to the theater company but to the entire Fine Arts department at Lowell High School, Dr. Sharon Clark. Dr Clark works tirelessly for all of the arts programs to ensure that they are thriving and well nurtured environments for all students. We, the members of the Lowell High School Theater Company would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and well wishes as she prepares for retirement. Dr Clark, Please sit back, relax and enjoy our gift to you, Shrek the Musical!!!
