Lower Merion Players

 Mission Statement & The Board

The extracurricular activity known as Lower Merion Players has existed since its 1965 origin as a student-run organization, providing a safe, artistic and enjoyable educational environment in which students can explore features of all types of theatrical productions, including reading and selection of plays and musicals, elements of scenic, costume and lighting design, direction and stage management.

PLAYERS strives to maintain its status as a student-run organization, with oversight by LMSD staff and artistic guidance from professionals from the Greater Philadelphia area theatre community, and with a board of student officers elected by their peers that participates fully and directly in making decisions that guide the organization.

Membership in Lower Merion Players is open and accessible to every student in the Lower Merion High School. This goal is reached through the continued practice of producing three full plays- a musical, a drama and a comedy- during each of the school’s three distinct activity seasons of fall, winter and spring.

Players is a student-run organization led by the Players Executive Board, a committee of five students serving in the positions of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and project manager. The 2018-2019 Board was chosen through an annual election held last spring.

The Board would like to thanks the entire cast and company, for their incredible hard work and dedication this show. They'd also like to extend a tremendous thank to their incredible coaches, especially Mr. Grace, their head coach! Thank you for coming to see the show and your continued support of Players! If you're wondering, in the above picture they're dressed up as the Scooby Doo gang, so yes, you should be jealous of their adorable friendship.
