SHREK the Musical is officially my 14th show as Theatre Director at LHN, WOW, thank you for blessing me with that! Although HS Theatre Director is not my only job, it is most certainly one of the most challenging and most rewarding opportunities I have, and for that I am grateful. Even though my birth children have graduated, I look forward to many more shows here at LHN with my Theatre Children.
As I tell the kids, I have ONE goal as director: put the best show on stage that we can, while bringing glory to God in everything we say and do. It is so rewarding to watch this kids figure out their characters or crew tasks, and how they are going to get this show to stage. Thankfully I have an amazing Technical Director and equally amazing returning alumnus Choreographer and Assistant Director. Thank you Mr. Ellison and Mr. Salvatore Sbrocca for teaching and encouraging and supporting this wonderful show. There are some stand out students who made things happen too, and we couldn’t have done it without them, the administration of LHN and the LHSA for supporting our cast and crew. I am very proud of all the hard work and dedication this school has shared with our community.
There will be an intermission between Act 1 and Act 2, about 15 minutes, depending on the length of the lines. Please know that the restrooms in the hall are dressing rooms, so we ask that you use the bathrooms by the main gym or front office. Our concession stand is freewill offering, the money will go to our theatre budget and we plan to buy more microphones and other things that will enhance our program. This fabulous playbill is 10 years in the making, and wouldn’t have happened without senior Jordan Prisby, and the parents who bought Happy Ads for their students.
To God be the Glory – way to go Mustangs!
Thank you for supporting our Theatre Program.
