The Drowsy Chaperone - July 31 - August 03, 2025

Lyndhurst Summer Musical

 End Notes

"As we stumble along..."

Over the past several months, as this production of The Drowsy Chaperone has gradually come to fruition, I have found myself reflecting- time and time again- on how this statement echoes the journey our summer musical program has gone on since its creation. For three years, we were the definition of"stumbling along” in the most endearing way. With just a few dedicated production staff members to call our own, each show was more demanding for us than we could ever possibly say. Nevertheless, as we stumbled, bumbled, fumbled, and “plumbled” these past four incredible years, we created magic together.

Our production staff has grown into something magical and truly wonderful. This year, with such dedicated staff members, we have finally reached the place I always dreamed this program would reach one day. I am so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you, and for all of the hard work and dedication you have given to this program. You saw my dreams for this program (however far-fetched) and embraced them wholeheartedly. For that, I am forever grateful. To our assistant director, Mackenzie, to our choreographer, Krystal, to our costume designer, Adrianna, and to our vocal director, Deme, I cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done this year. This show is as wonderful as it is because of the countless hours you all have put into making it a reality. This program is what it is today because of each and every one of you.

To the phenomenal cast and crew of The Drowsy Chaperone, thank you for giving up your summers to bring this show to life. The work ethic and dedication you all have given at each step of this process is truly remarkable, and I cannot wait for our families, friends, and our community to see the fruits of your labor. These summer musicals are stressful beyond words, but working with such committed individuals, such as yourselves, makes it all worth it in the end. And of course, I would like to extend a special thank you to our stage manager, Olivia, who takes on so much responsibility for these shows, and does so with a smile each and every time.

At its heart, The Drowsy Chaperone is a love letter to the art form that is musical theatre. Our production is a love letter to the community and our commitment to bringing this art form to you all to enjoy.
