Notes from the Playwright:

Judy Pancoast has written songs in many styles, but she had never tackled musical theater until just five years ago, when best-selling author Joe R. Lansdale asked her to adapt one of his works for the musical stage. She enjoyed that project so much that she decided to revive an idea she’d had when her now-adult daughter was a in school theater troupe in which girls outnumbered boys by about two-to-one. Judy conceived of a show that would have many interesting parts for female-identifying actors and give them a little history on how far women have come in the past fifty years. And that’s how GIRL ON THE MOON was born!
