Notes from the Director:

Welcome to our production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”, based on the Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and of course the classic animated film.

We all know the story of  Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, who is fascinated with the world above the sea and falls in love with a human. As Ariel pursues the human world, her colorful friends, Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle join her on this journey. All these characters play an important part in Ariel’s life and decisions. With such irresistible songs like “Part of Your World” and “Under the Sea” this will be a toe-tapping performance for all ages.

Ariel has a dream to become human so she can be with her Prince. Ariel makes a deal with Ursula, the devil, but her father King Triton, in the end is willing to sacrifice himself for her. His love for his daughter was so great that he would do anything for her!

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us, so we can be with the Father for eternity, He loves us that much! We all have dreams and sometimes go down roads we wish we hadn't, yet somehow we all end up on the path meant for us. For Christians, that "somehow" is Christ. When we receive Him into our lives, no matter what road we take, He is with us. He is the ultimate director of our lives whatever path we take!

I pray you see the light of Jesus shine from the cast tonight as they give Jesus the glory for this performance.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."                                   Matthew 5:16

Singing His Praises,
