Welcome to our production of The Addams Family!
This delightfully macabre musical has been a joy to bring to life, and I'm thrilled to share it with you. At its heart, beneath the cobwebs and family crypts, this show explores something wonderfully universal: the beautiful chaos of family, the courage it takes to embrace change, and the importance of being authentically, unapologetically yourself.
The Addams family may be creepy and kooky, but their fierce love for one another and their refusal to dim their light for anyone else's comfort is something we can all aspire to. In a world that often asks us to conform, they remind us that there's power—and joy—in celebrating what makes us different.
None of this would have been possible without an extraordinary team. My deepest gratitude goes to our musical directors, Stephanie Bennett and Jennifer Rowley, whose talent and dedication have brought this score to life with such energy and heart. And to my volunteer assistant director, Hannah Sauer—your support, insight, and countless hours of work have been invaluable. Thank you for helping to shape this vision.
To my family—my parents, my brother and sister, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and my nieces and nephews—thank you for your unwavering love and support. Directing a show like this takes countless hours and immeasurable energy, and knowing you're always in my corner makes all the difference. You've cheered me on through every challenge and celebrated every triumph. This one's for you.
So sit back, relax, and prepare to embrace the strange and wonderful. After all, as the Addams family knows best: normal is overrated.
Enjoy the show!
