  • Hadley Wagner head shot

    Hadley Wagner

    as Dorothy Gale

    Hadley is making her MCT debut as Dorothy in this production. She appeared in several MHS productions including "Mary Poppins", "Footloose" and "Cinderella", where she played the title role. She will be attending Simpson College in the fall, majoring in Psychology and music. She is involved in choir, show choir and speech at MHS and loves writing and singing.

    Aubrey is originally from Blaine, MN but has established herself as a staple on the MCT stage with appearances in "Peter Pan", "Mr. Popper's Penguins" and, most recently, "Into the Woods". She is active in the community and with Restore Church.

  • Joel Duden head shot

    Joel Duden

    as Uncle Henry/Emerald City Guard

    Joel is a Marshalltown native who makes his MCT stage debut in this production.  (Although he says he helped with set building in the '70s!) He works at Mercy Medical Center in Ankeny, is married (34 years) with 2 kids and 6 grandkids (one of whom is also in this production). He enjoys riding motorcycles, flying airplanes and, most of all, spending time with his family.

    as Hunk/Scarecrow

    Nick's prior MCT credits include "On Golden Pond" and "Peter Pan" where he had the title role. His MHS appearances included Lumiere in "Beauty and the Beast", Bert in "Mary Poppins" and Ren in "Footloose". He also appeared in "Broadway Dreams Showcase" in New York City last year. He is currently home for the summer but is a student at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts' New Studio on Broadway.

    as Hickory/Tin Woodsman

    Chad is a Marshalltown native who has appeared in several MCT productions over the years, most  notably as Conrad Birdie in "Bye Bye Birdie" and most recently in "Guys and Dolls" as Benny Southstreet. He is the director of "Instant Comedy - Just Add Spam" the local improv comedy troupe. He has completed his 3rd year of grad school at Bethel Seminary and  is a substitute for the  MCSD.
