    Michael Harlan was Director of Theatre for 15 years at Westlake High School and 10 years at McNeil High School. He is very happy to be directing again and Murder on the Orient Express has proven to be the perfect play at this time in his life. Michael received his Master's in Theatre from the University of Texas.

    Assistant Director

    After graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Wright State University, Joshua split his time between New York, NY and Hamburg, Germany, where he played young adult Simba in The Lion King directed by Julie Taymor. Following Josh's 2-year stint in The Lion King he appeared in over 30 professional productions of classic and popular plays and musicals in international, regional, summer stock, and university venues. Josh most recently appeared as Tick/Mitzi in Priscilla Queen of the Desert at ZACH Theatre (Broadway World nomination). Josh is the recipient of numerous Broadway World Awards including Best Direction of a Musical (Bonnie & Clyde), Best Scenic Design (The Producers), Best Family Friendly Production (Les Miserables), Outstanding High School Or College Production (The Producers). Under his direction McCallum has twice earned the distinction Outstanding Academic Theatre by the Central Texas Excellence in Theatre Awards. www.joshuadenning.net

    Kristin Vandenberg is originally from Tallahassee Florida where she graduated from Florida State University with a BFA in Technical Theatre – Lighting Design. After college she worked in regional theatre and national tours until beginning to work as the Production Coordinator / Operations Manager running all crews and coordinating all scheduling for a 12,000 seat arena complex in Tallahassee. After almost 20 years there, she and her husband and four children moved to Austin five and a half years ago to handle the grand opening of the Performing Arts Center at Texas State University where she has worked until deciding to move into secondary education this year at McCallum. She is very excited to be spearheading the Technical Theatre program at the Fine Arts Academy and wants to thank her husband for supporting this surprising change in career paths!
