Notes from the Director:

I have had the absolute pleasure in directing and choreographing MTC’s “CATS!”  This musical is one of the first musicals I had seen as a young child.  I saw it at the Curran Theater in San Francisco.  I love how unique the characters are and the music of Andrew Lloyd Weber is just magical.  It has always been one of my favorites! 

The cast of MTC’s “CATS” has been a joy to work with.  They have worked so hard these last eight weeks.  I am very proud of how far they all have come since the first rehearsal!  Through all of their dedication, they have truly brought meaning to the saying, “hard work really pays off!”  I have had a blast watching the different families in our cast perform together as well.  I have experienced this with my family.  Both of my girls and mom are in the show.  What a special way to experience the theater!

I want to say thank you to my assistant director, Ashlee Petretti for doing a stellar job not only as being my partner and right hand, but for always raising the bar and being a fantastic role model!  I also would like to thank the other members on the production team and all of the volunteers who helped with costumes, makeup, and sets.  You are all so talented!  Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank Greg and Nancie for allowing me to continue creating magic on the MTC stage!  I cannot wait to share the magic of “CATS” with you.  Enjoy the show.
