Notes from the Director
Welcome to Motunui, but more importantly welcome back to live theatre! The entire cast and production staff of Disney’s Moana Jr is thrilled to once again present live theatre to an audience! We have taken a journey together and today you will travel with Moana as she begins her voyage of discovery. What I personally have learned from this story is that in difficult times we can inspire and rise to the occasion. All of us can look to find the good and believe in the power of love. We can embrace our past and learn how to face the challenges of the present and future. Moana is a coming of age story for all ages.
I want to thank the cast, production staff and families who have supported this show with their time and talent. I must say watching our young artists tackle complicated harmonies and energetic choreography has been inspiring. On a personal note I can’t thank Nancie McLaughlin enough for her sure and steady work in bringing the set and costumes to life. So please sit back and let the magic of storytelling entertain, inspire and motivate you, And as the ancestors remind Moana, We Know The Way!
