Creative Team Note
Instead of a traditional “directors note” this year I am writing a “creative team” note. To be able to put on a show, under these circumstances, is quite a feat and, y’all, we did it! I will never forget the emotions we felt the very first day kids got on the stage and “did an actual thing”, it was truly overwhelming. All three of us were moved in a way we didn’t expect. We are so thankful for live theatre and the way it fills us deep into our soul. As we’ve told your kids all semester, we can do hard things. A huge shout out to the casts for their unwavering work, their willingness to jump on the struggle bus with us to come along for the ride, and for keeping a sense of humor when it was the best way to hold back the tears. WE thank YOU from the bottom of our hearts for trusting and supporting us, and giving us the opportunity to make it happen.
