Disney's Beauty and the Beast - May 02 - May 05, 2024

Midwest City High School

 A note from the director...

Every year our musical requires an incredible amount of support, time, and resources from not only the students in the show, but also the faculty and community around us. None of this would be possible without the countless people in our lives that have given so generously of their time and resources to make this possible. Thank you to everyone who has helped us move this show from being a dream to reality.

There are a few people I would like to give special mention of for going above and beyond for us.

Dr. Rick Cobb, our superintendent, and the Mid-Del Schools Board of Education for their vision and leadership that has kept the arts at the forefront, among many other things, of what makes our district incredible.

Diana Williams, Mid-Del Schools Fine Arts Coordinator, for being an advocate for us and our departments, a mentor for those beginning their journey as arts educators, and cheerleader of our accomplishments and successes.

Leslie Berger, our head principal, for her unwavering, continued support, and guidance that allowed us do musicals again after nearly a decade hiatus, and to continue to keep growing year after year.

Chris Berus, Jimmy Brown, Kathleen Shadron, & Corey Russell, our grade level principals, for guiding, safeguarding, and uplifting our students through all storms.

Allison Taylor, graphic designer for our production, for donating their time and efforts to make beautiful art for us to use, and just being a great person all around.

June Debouse, our Mrs. Potts and teacher extraordinaire, for making art with us and being a beacon of exceptionality for our students.

Amy Gordon, our Madame Bouche, choreographer, and another teacher extraordinaire, for spending countless hours building our kids up and helping them become more rounded performers, and better people.

All of our parents and guardians. Without your sacrifice of time, resources, sleep, sanity, and love none of this would be possible. You should be proud of yourselves and what your children have accomplished here.

To our dear colleague, mentor, and friend, Kristi Reise-Bugher, whom we lost this year. You were a light in many lives. Your kindness, generousity, laughter, and creativity will continue on in those you taught, myself included.

Lastly, thank you to each of you seeing our show. Please enjoy the fruits of our labor to the fullest. Laugh, cry, immerse yourself in a fairytale for a few hours.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
