When Disney's The Little Mermaid hit the big screen in the 90s, I never dreamed of performing the play version. My girls watched the movie so many times we could all quote it and sing all the songs. Now here we are, officially "under the sea." This is a beautiful story that encourages us to pursue our dreams, just as Ariel and Prince Eric did.
Thanks to all of our crew for all their hard work, and a special thanks to MEGA for their continued support of the arts. Without all of you, our shows would not be possible.
A special shout-out goes to Natalee Godsey (a former MMS student and teacher) and her drama club at Arlington Middle School for allowing us to borrow some costumes and props.
To our eighth graders- thank you for being with me for shows throughout the years. I look forward to seeing your perform in all of your activities at the high school. Congrats to Colby Burgess, Gavon Bradfield, Addison Caldwell, Madison Eschbach, Haley Marcle, Ashlynn Tharpe, Danielle Ferguson, and Ella Cavaness.
Again, to all of you-"Thank you!" for being here to support the arts in our school! Continue to encourage our cast members as they bring us to life under the sea, and as Sebastian says," We got it all right here!"
