Brooke Phillips*
Director
Brooke has been Director of Theatre for over a decade. She feels lucky to work with such remarkable individuals in the performing arts. Brooke was deemed, “Outstanding Rookie teacher of the year” in 2008 by the MEA. She also received “Outstanding Theatre Teacher of the Year” from the Nebraska Thespians organization in 2015 and 2019. Under Brooke’s direction and assistant direction, Millard West has been awarded “Outstanding Musical” by the OPA, Nebraska High School Theatre Academy four times. Several MWHS students have been recognized in the NHSTA end of year showcase, including one who was sent on as our state's National High School Awards (Jimmy Awards) Representative in New York and a half dozen as National Finalists. Brooke serves as Co-Chapter Director for the Nebraska Thespians Organization, where she works to promote educational theatre across the state and country, supporting both students and teachers. Act well your part, there all honor lies.

Courtney Cairncross
Choreographer
Courtney Cairncross is an Omaha-born choreographer, teaching artist and performer, currently based out of London, England. Her choreography has most recently been seen on the Millard West stage in “Bring it On”, “Chicago”, “Sound of Music”, and “Honk”, as well as in several productions across the Omaha theatre scene. She holds a Masters in Dance Anthropology from the University of Roehampton in London. Courtney would like to infinitely thank Brooke Phillips for inviting her to come “home” again to share in the creation of theatre magic with such a talented and inspiring group of young actors.
