Mark Hayhurst Writer
is a British writer whose work spans theatre, television, and documentary drama. Taken at Midnight marked his stage debut and premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre before transferring to the West End at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. The play was nominated for Best New Play at the Laurence Olivier Awards. Hayhurst is also known for his television work, including 37 Days for the BBC and The Man Who Crossed Hitler. His writing is driven by a deep engagement with history, bringing human urgency and emotional clarity to pivotal political moments.

Micheal A. Kott
Director
has been involved with the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center since 1997 - His first production was the Midwest Premier of BLOOD BROTHERS. Micheal has been involved in over 100 productions here at JPAC as actor, director or designer. Favorite roles include Edna in the Midwest premier of HAIRSPRAY, Lumiere in BEAUTY and THE BEAST, Pop in Queen's WE WILL ROCK YOU and Richard Jannings in Rupert Holmes' SOLITARY CONFINEMENT. Micheal is the Associate Dean of Learning Resource and Performing Arts Center here at Morton College. It has been a pleasure to guide JPAC for the last 5 years. He will be retiring in June of 2026.

Gary Dennis
Technical Director
is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He has performed Curly and Jud in Oklahoma, Gus in Babes in Arms, and Amos Heart in Chicago. In 2018, Gary, his wife and children went to St. Thomas, USVI, to help rebuild after two cat five hurricanes made landfall. They stayed 3 years. Restoring the Pistarkle Theater and performed Babes in Toyland, Evita, Death Trap, and Dreamgirls. Gary and family moved to the Chicago area in December of 2021, where Gary is living his dream as Technical Director/Production Manager at the JPAC.
