Sister Act - November 02 - November 10, 2018

Mounds View High School

 Director's Note

Welcome to our fall production of Sister Act! What an amazingly fun and energetic show this has been! Adapted from the 1992 film of the same name, this musical is full of powerful messages about friendship, strength, identity, and growth. We hope that Deloris’ story will move and inspire you, as it has all of us!

Theatre is a family, and we have some wonderful people in this theatre family. For the past four years, I have had the distinct pleasure of working with David Phelps, and with his guidance, direction, and support I believe we have put together another amazing production. The phenomenal Phillip Richardson works wonders with our orchestra pit. We also have Jack Caughey working with our crew and tech students again. His insight and ideas have continued to bring our productions to the next level. For this production, Brianna Hershey worked as our choreographer, and we are so grateful for her expertise in all things dance. Additionally, we had the wonderful support of Bobbi Varichak supervising our crew. We are so grateful for all the time and energy everyone has put into this production!

Many of the things we get to do here are thanks to our parent volunteer group BRAVO! We are eternally grateful for the way they support us and for all the hours of time and energy they put into making our productions run smoothly. Thank you so much to each and every parent! Your dedication to this theatre program is so appreciated; we simply couldn’t do what we do without you.

The students that are part of MV Theatre are one in a million. They work so hard and their effort, talent, and passion always shines through every production. These students make our job easy, and we are so proud of all our cast, crew, costuming, tech, and props students.

Lastly, a message to my dear seniors: it has been absolutely amazing to see you grow over the past four years! Please know that your passion and dedication to this program is known and cherished. I’m so honored to get to work with each and every one of you, and I’m grateful we will have one more production together before you move on to the next stage in your life (pun intended). Wherever life takes you after MV Theatre, I hope you will always remember: You’re so fabulous, baby!

Thank you so, so much for coming to support our students, and enjoy the show!
