I had the distinct pleasure of seeing the Broadway production of Lion King when it was still in previews. I rememebr saying to myself, as well as to my family, how are they going to make lions and other animals come to life on the stage? And was I in for one of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime!
When I was deciding what show to do, I wondered how we, a little middle school from Mt. Olive would make this happen as well. I'll tell you how...Our Amazing Students!!! They have been burning the midnight oil to make this production possible. They have been trying their hardest, and I am beyond proud of them! As the lights come down, and the music turns up, just let yourself escape to the landscapes of Africa! This is going to be one of those most memorable shows you will see!
I am a true beliver in redemtion. That's really what this show is all about. Simba goes through such a trial that he has to endure, and eventually ends up back on top of Pride Rock! His battle and his story of redemption is such a wonderful lesson that all of students can learn from. With that said, I ask that you sit back, relax, and enjoy this evening's production of The Lion King jr.!
