1776 - March 21 - March 23, 2024

Mount Sinai High School

 CAST, CREW AND PIT BIOS

RYAN ANZALDI (Pit) is a junior returning for his third year in the pit for the high school musical. For this year’s performance, he is playing the baritone saxophone using music he transcribed from bassoon. Ryan is a music enthusiast, studying saxophone for the past eight years, piano for the past seven years, participating in the Mount Sinai Jazz Band, Mount Sinai Pep Band, and is currently learning French horn and bassoon as well as being part of many music ensembles this past year. Out of the pit, Ryan is a member of the Port Jeff/Mount Sinai Robotics Team, an original member of the American Sign Language (ASL) club, a returning Tri-M Honor Society member, and a Junior Senator in the High School’s Student Government. Ryan would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him through this rollercoaster ride of a year. Now, break a leg cast (don’t actually, they're pretty important)!

Samantha Anzaldi (Charles Thomson) is a sophomore and is very excited to be participating in the musical 1776. In the past, Samantha appeared on the Mount Sinai High School stage in Seussical the Musical, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and I Never Saw Another Butterfly. She also appeared in Dorothy in Wonderland (Lion) in middle school. Offstage, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing softball, playing flute, and is a senator in the Mount Sinai Student Government. She would like to thank her family, friends, Mrs. Connor, and everyone else for making this production possible. Break a leg to all the cast, crew, and pit!

Kaitlyn Arichabala (Martha Jefferson) is a sophomore. This is her second year performing in the Mount Sinai Drama Club. She has been in seven previous shows, five of them being at Mount Sinai. Outside of drama she also plays flute and likes to read.

Brielle Balz (Stage Manager) is a junior and is really excited to be able to help with this production! She was Stage Manager for I Never Saw Another Butterfly, part of the stage crew for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Assistant Stage Manager for Seussical. She’d like to thank her friends for getting her involved with MSPA. Break a leg to the amazing cast of 1776!

Alexa Bolen (Andrew McNair) is thrilled to be part of MSPA’s 1776 as her first on-stage appearance! Previous credits include Seussical (Pit; clarinet, tenor saxophone, bass clarinet). As a senior, Alexa is heartbroken to be leaving this year but is excited to pursue future studies in Marine Biology. When she isn’t on stage, she enjoys listening to Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, reading, watching hockey, and boating. She extends thanks to her family, who have supported her in all her extracurriculars, friends, who have encouraged her in musical pursuits, especially her best friend, Leah, who encouraged her to audition this year! Break a leg to the incredibly talented pit, cast, and crew!

Hailey Bolen (Crew) is a sophomore and is excited to work in the crew for the first time ever! She loves music, art, animals, and her friends! Her favorite bands are Los Campesinos! and ABBA! She filled up two whole sketchbooks and is currently working on one more (she flexes about the sketchbook thing). Her favorite animal is an orca, and she also loves hammerhead sharks and stingrays! She thanks her sister, Alexa, for driving her to and from school! Something cool about her is that she can eye up the color Windows Teal, her favorite color, with color sliders! She enjoys horseback riding and ice skating. Her favorite musicals are Newsies, & Juliet, SIX, The Lightning Thief, Hamilton, and Dear Evan Hansen.

KASSIA BONO (Pit) is the coolest cellist on the block as they enjoy their senior year being a part of 1776.  Since 5th grade, the cello has been a great comfort to combat this fast-paced world, and has allowed for such opportunities as NYSSMA, SCMEA, the Tri-M honor society, participating in chamber ensembles and playing in this very pit.  Kassia’s world doesn’t stop at the cello as she can be seen running around the school building to tend to various clubs or at home procrastinating while starting up a new self-interest project.  Her creativity knows no bounds as she embraces the art world as well as the sciences in her pursuit to explore what this school has to offer.  All responsibility for her stellar personality goes to her parents (predominantly) and friends as they support her through her last year.  Cheers to all and please enjoy the show!
