A Very Special Thank You to Mackenzie

Every great heist needs a mastermind—the one who keeps the plan on track, the crew in line, and the chaos at bay. For Heist Quest, that person was Mackenzie.

From day one, you stepped up as my co-director, but you became so much more than that. You were the anchor of this production—the steady hand behind every scene, the quiet hero organizing props, managing cast, solving scheduling puzzles, and keeping the backstage running like a well-oiled (and often duct-taped) machine.

You showed up to every rehearsal (and more), even when it meant giving up your own time, Friday night or sleep in. You made it possible for me to focus on directing scenes because I knew the rest of the production was in the most capable hands. When things got hectic, you were calm. When problems popped up, you found solutions. When the show needed something—anything—you were already three steps ahead and you help keep me grounded and the voice of reason, and for that I am forever grateful.

Mackenzie, you are the true legend of Heist Quest. While the cast got their spotlight on stage, you were the reason the spotlight turned on at all. You didn’t just help this production succeed—you made it possible. I truly could not have done this without you. From the bottom of my heart: thank you for being my right hand, my calm in the chaos, and the co-director every director and teacher dreams of.

This was our heist—and I’m so lucky you were in on it with me.
