 One Act Synopses

The Treehouse

Each character in the treehouse has their own unique battle to overcome, and may find out that you’re never too old to decide what you want to be when you grow up. Get lost in the magic of childhood and ask yourself, “What do I want to be when I grow up?”

The Further Adventures of Nick Danger, Third Eye

Nashua Theatre Guild is proud to be arguably the first theater company in New England to ever perform this zany send-up of the 1940s film noir detective genre, with particular nods and winks to The Maltese Falcon. It will be performed as a 1940s-style radio play, replete with period sound effects and staging.  This fast-paced One Act is filled with comedic word play sure to delight audiences young and old, and will boldly and outrageously take viewers forward…into the past!

A Case of Belonging

A Devil and an Angel are on stage, battling over a man who is about to expire. They're a couple of very modern representatives of that undiscovered country who know all the tricks, put-downs, comic hassles and worldly wise maneuvers needed to win the prize from the other.

A Most Dangerous Game

In this updated version of a classic thriller, corporate headhunters give new meaning to the term "hunting." Four professionals are going to be locked in the luxury condominium with no way to escape. The one who gets the job is the one who can survive the evening.

Lockdown

In a dark classroom, eight students sit in an "official lockdown," not knowing if it's just a drill or an actual emergency. When a hysterical younger girl bolts from the room and the teacher follows, the remaining students are left alone to decide if it's safer to stay or run.
