Note from the Director
Welcome to our production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!
This show has been a whirlwind of imagination, color, and pure creativity—and at the center of it all are the amazing students who brought it to life. Every line, song, dance step, and set piece was built with heart and determination by a group of young artists who have poured themselves into this story. I am endlessly proud of their growth, resilience, and the joy they bring to the stage.
This production is especially meaningful, as it marks the final musical to be performed in our current cafetorium before we move into a brand-new auditorium next winter. It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a bright future. While we may have outgrown this space, it has been filled with magic thanks to the incredible students and community members who’ve transformed it again and again with love and imagination.
At its core, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is about hope, kindness, and the power of being true to yourself. In a world that often values wealth, popularity, or perfection, Charlie Bucket reminds us that humility, gratitude, and honesty are far sweeter rewards. The factory’s wonders are dazzling, but the real magic is in Charlie’s goodness—and in the idea that “Odd is a gift from God,” as the song The View from Here so beautifully puts it. It’s a reminder that our differences are not flaws to hide, but gifts to be celebrated.
Thank you for joining us in this final journey through our little chocolate factory. We hope it fills you with laughter, a sense of wonder, and maybe even a touch of perspective on what it means to dream big, stay kind, and embrace your own “odd.”
Enjoy the show,
