New Horizon Theatre

 From the Director

Community Theatre is America’s theatre.  It involves more participants, presents more performances of more productions, and plays to more people than any other performing art in the country.   It enriches the lives of those who take an active part in it, as well as those in the community who benefit from live theatre productions. On either side of the footlights, those involved represent a diversity of age, culture, life experience, and a strong appreciation of the importance of the arts.  Community theatre is that wonderful network of friends we can laugh with, cry with, argue with, party with, and yet come together to provide wonderful entertainment for our communities. Because of community theatre we have an extended family around the world who shares the same love and excitement of the performance.  New Horizon Community Theatre has that special power to bring a diverse group of people together, to help our towns truly become a Community. NHCT is open to anyone interested in being a part of this wonderful theater experience. Come become a part of our family.

"Beehive" has been a labor of love.  Originally scheduled for April, and cancelled due to the Covid Pandemic, this resilient group of people refused to take no for an answer.  Limited rehearsals, with only a small group of people rehearsing at a time, singing through masks, standing in all four corners of the stage, and at times in separate rooms, this dedicated group was determined to bring this musical tour of the sixties to life -- even before a limited audience.  Relax.  Feel Safe.  Reminisce about a simpler time before color TV, before the Internet, before Cell Phones, before Covid!  Enjoy.
