We are living in a very activated time. There is great upheaval and change in the world. So, why do Legally Blonde now? On its surface, Legally Blonde is a fun fish-out-water story. But, it’s so much more. When we first meet Elle Woods, her self esteem is wrapped up in her looks, her status and what man loves her. On her journey, Elle discovers aspects of herself that make her feel “so much better”: Her brain and her heart!
Legally Blonde may see the world through a cotton candy lens, but that lens helps deliver a story of female empowerment. And that’s why this story is important today. Women should be encouraged. Women should be given the same chance as men. Women should be believed.
If the future is indeed female, Elle Woods and the Delta Nus prove that we are in good hands!
