    Trumpeter, composer, arranger & bandleader Steven Bernstein, has been a true force in contemporary music for over 30 years. His work consistently defies easy categorization: from Sexmob to Lounge Lizards; Millennial Territory Orchestra to Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble Band; Butler/Bernstein & the Hot 9 to the Kansas City Big Band; and other works for film, theater & dance.

    George Cables

    Pianist George Cables has performed/recorded with: Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Dexter Gordon, Art Pepper, Sonny Rollins, and Sarah Vaughan. Born in NYC in 1944, he was classically trained as a youth, but was later influenced by the sounds of Miles and Trane. Cables is noted for his fresh Interpretations of classic compositions and his innovative style of writing.

    Steve Cardenas

    Guitarist Steve Cardenas has been part of the NYC jazz community since 1995, performing/recording with: Charlie Haden’s Liberation Music Orchestra, Paul Motian, and Steve Swallow. Cardenas currently works in the bands of: John Patitucci, Ben Allison, Jon Cowherd, and Adam Nussbaum. He has released five recordings as a leader and is a faculty member at the New School.

    Jon Cowherd

    Pianist/composer/arranger/producer Jon Cowherd is one of contemporary music’s most in-demand musicians. Cowherd co-leads Brian Blade’s acclaimed Fellowship Band, has released two albums of his own, and has toured/recorded with a staggering array of artists in multiple genres, including: Rosanne Cash, Norah Jones, Cassandra Wilson, Meshell N’dgeocello, and Lizz Wright.

    Natalie Cressman

    Natalie Cressman is a rising singer/songwriter/trombonist whose fifth album features original material sung in French, Portuguese and English. The 27-year-old has toured/worked with: Trey Anastasio, Carlos Santana, Dave Matthews, and Anat Cohen. In 2016, the Manhattan School of Music alum was commissioned for a concert celebrating trombonist/arranger Melba Liston.
