From the Director
The late 70's .. one of the happiest periods of my life.
I was a middle school kid, living on Clark Air Foce Base in the Philippines, and ABBA was EVERYWHERE on the radio. So many of these songs bring back memories and feelings to me because their global hits became directly tied to that happy time and my childhood memories. To this day they remain FIRMLY infused into the soundtrack of my life and so the minute the rights to Mamma Mia! became available, the choice of which musical I would make my second here at my alama mater was simply a no-brainer.
I dedicate this show to that time, those memeories, and all of the people who were a part of my life during those amazing 70's, and the memories that we made in that time and place.
I also dedicate the show to my very first theatre teacher (whom I met in the Philippines), Mrs. Rosalie Tucker. Knowing me, knowing you? You would like this show.
