Nine O'Clock Players Theatre for Children

90 YEARS OF THEATRE FOR CHILDREN

Nine O'Clock Players Theatre for Children, founded in 1929, is one of the oldest theatres for children in the country.  Each year we present two musical productions of classic children's literature which include a full complement of dancing, singing and special effects.  Theatre for Children is one of the services of the Assistance League of Los Angeles and is operated by volunteer members of the Nine O'Clock Players (NOP) auxiliary who oversee all aspects of the productions and raise funds for this service.

Approximately 12,000 children who attend NOP productions each year are low income and/or special needs students.  Nine O'Clock Players and our generous patrons provide both bus transportation and admission free of charge to these children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience live theatre.  In addition, weekday field trips are offered to school groups as an addition to their normal educational curricula.  These performances are offered at a special ticket price.

Your purchase of tickets to weekend performances or your donation to Nine O'Clock Players helps to make all of this possible. Thank you for your support!
