NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR
WOW! What a year+ this has been. From in school to shutdown to full-virtual learning to hybrid to, and I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying...full circle back to being in school full time.
Through it all, our students have persevered!
It has been a challenging, thought provoking, and sci-fi epic-like time.
Last spring, we were not even able to produce our Spring 2020 musical, Legally Blonde due to COVID-19.
The students, who worked so hard last year to share their creativity, passion, and professionalism with you were, understandably, disappointed.
And yet...they prevailed.
While we cannot bring this production to you in the manner we would prefer, they rose to the challenge of bringing a full-scale musical to you virtually. While there were many bumps and detours along the way...the students met the challenge.
Is this production of A Killer Party technically perfect? No. However, I would argue that no theater production is ever "perfect." Theater is a living and evolving art form that grows through the bumps and bruises, the foibles, and failures, to inspire those who participate in its journey.
I hope that you enjoy the art created by our students. I am blessed with experiencing their art every day at school. I could not feel prouder of these creative geniuses.
Thank you very much for joining us for this zany story.

The poem, the song, the picture
Is only water
Drawn from the well of the people
And it should be given back to them in a cup of beauty
So that they may drink
And in drinking
Understand themselves.
